TFC Vaseline – mold lubricant for multi-part silicone molds

TFC Vaseline is used as a mold lubricant in the production of multi-part silicone molds to separate silicone from silicone and silicone rubber from other materials and surfaces when taking impressions from original models. Silicone mold lubricant is applied as a thin layer to the first half of the already hardened silicone mold during mold production and the freshly mixed silicone for the second half is poured onto it. This prevents the two mold halves from sticking together.
Usage: Apply with a brush, in a thin layer. Application is easier if the product is slightly warmed before application.
TFC Vaseline does not contain harmful substances.

TFC Vaseline is ideal for protecting the original model when taking a silicone rubber impression, to allow easy removal of the finished silicone impression from the mold and to prevent damage, e.g. sticking to or peeling off the existing paint layer of the original model.
The product is also suitable for taking impressions from materials that still have open pores (such as plaster and wood). Vaseline seals the surface with still open pores, preventing the applied silicone rubber from flowing into the pores.
